Now just what is this program?
Originally I wanted a way to see if any net mail conference areas were
NOT being used. This would allow me to drop the dead weight and change
to another one that might be more used. In the same instance my concern
was that I wanted to give each area a chance to see if it was going to
be used. Hence NODELOG came into existance. I was using it on my own BBS
until a sysop recommended that I release it. Well after a few days I
decided that I would modify it and do just that. This is just a simple
util for those of you that use RIME echo mail to be able to check the
usuage of your conference areas. It reads your import export log and
compiles a bulletin showing the percentage of use in each of the areas.
Additionally it creates a Log showing which areas have NOT exported any
messages for the X number of days that you set.
Files contained in this ZIP:
NODELOG.EXE The main executable file
NODELOG.DOC What you are reading now
NODELOG.CFG A sample CFG file showing how to setup
WHATSNEW.DOC If present tells any changes to the program
Files Creted by this program.
NOTUSED.LST List of conferences that have not exported for X days.
HOW TO SET UP.
1. Copy the following files to a directory.
NODELOG.EXE
NODELOG.CFG
2. Modify the CFG file to match your BBS system.
a. Be sure you spell the names correctly.
b. Make sure your paths are correct.
3. Type NODELOG to start.
HINTS:
I keep NODELOG in the SAME directory as my IMPORT/EXPORT log but
since the path and name are contained in the CFG file this is NOT
necessary. So if you want to test it out you can do it from another
directory.
When to run:
I run this immediately after my BBS imports its mail. It can be run
as often as you like as it is smart enough to know whether the dates
are different or not. If you import and export 100 times a day this
will read all 100 times but only count it as one day.
NOTE:
Be sure to change directory to the one that NODELOG is located in!
This version will NOT search the path for files it needs. So the
EXE and CFG MUST be in the same directory.
Layout for the CFG file.

standard upgrade and registration list. In the meantime it is
